İŞLER GÜÇLER

Of all the TV series,İşler Güçler is the most fabulous one. Both its script and the acting by performers make it rank as the best.Narrating story of three friends, this TV series attracts more than fifty percent of the public. It is starred by Ahmet KURAL,Murat CEMCİR and Sadi Celil CENGİZ;but, for some episodes, Büşra PEKİN has been involved. It first started as a summertime series, then, turned out to be a year-round one, which makes its fans really happy.Actually,it reflects some facts that belong real life. That is why Ahmet,Murat and Sadi are called by their own names. For instance,Sadi Celil CENGİZ gave up working as a custom officer just to be an actor in real life. This detail is narrated,as well.Another detail is that;the actors' cues consist of some sarcasms towards unfair situations, which may be a factor that attracts us.Let me tell you the flow of this series.Formerly, its script was about a programme called ''meslek hikayeleri'' in which these three actors introduced some popular jobs once a week;however it did not work because of low ratings. In the following episodes, the producer, but not real one, decided to make a film whose script belongs to a foreign film, Lost;but there is a problem at this point;who will be the director of this new film?It still refers to a controversy. We,as a regular spectator of this marvelous series, really wonder what is gonna be.They may surprise us or it goes on as it did before. To summarize,if you are looking for a comedy series,İşler Güçler will definitely satisfy you.Enjoy this TV series!(fıtı fıtı fıtı fıtı!)

IDEAL UNI

Nowadays there is an argument about how an ideal university should be.So many ideas are in the limelight;but two concepts are more dominant compared to the others.Generally opposed to each other, they,of course, have common points.Let's analyze these two.First group mentioned,is in pursuit of being
educated rather than being social. It is educational activities or lessons what attracts them most. Then, what do they desire to get from a university? For instance,well-organized libraries, comfortable study rooms, even compulsory study hours, which does not appeal much to the other group. When it comes to the second group, what they expect is social activities rather than education. This may go against with the orders of education, which, however does not mean that there is no need to have some fun.Actually, the second one appeals to me most, but I can not agree on directly.Maybe some additions help you adopt this idea.At this point,METU meets the needs. In Turkey,in terms of facilities,it ranks first.Even without leaving the campus, all challenges can be overcome readily. From both educational and social perspective,METU is exactly dream of so many students,as well as me.That is all about ideal university on my mind. What are your expectations from a university?

Fainting Goats

Please check it out carefully, cause this may be the funniest video that you have ever seen.Let me tell you the matter. Also known as myotonic goats, these goats are suffering from an illness called myotonia congenita. You may wonder what kind of illness this is.Upon being thrilled or scared, their muscles are locked up and they suddenly faint. After relaxing that lasts three or four seconds, they regain consciousness and act as if there was nothing
serious. This, according to some, means that even upon minor shock, they may be
hunted by predatory around. That's why they are under protection by authorities.
On the other hand, some farmers keep them together with sheeps in flock,so if
predator attacks to the flock,it take less valuable ones, myotonic goats. That
sucks. On the contrary to this belief, some other farmers value them owing to
the long muscles they have. You can watch any other videos related to these
strange animals and please do not worry about them. What they do is sort of
self-defence against to more fatal results.

NEVER BE A DOMINO COLLAPSING

How hard to reserve our individuality or to say ''I'm distinct''. Paradoxically,it is society that asks us both to be in specific forms and also be distinct. What an irony! That is why I have decided to explain this situation, rolling in such paradox.Since the ancient times, mankind has always been in pursuit of being more different than others.Being unaware of difficulty of achieving this,he has also failed to sustain his change. It is not his fault or others',as well.Among the members of society, there is a common discourse;''everything must be similar to what has been done before.''But what makes us think so,or how can we accept such imposition. Is it really hard to be a builder of any improvement and to stand by our achievements. All we need is just a bit encouragement, anyway. The matter is how much determined we are.Unlike dominos collapsing, the impress we have on the others mustn't be knocking them down, but bring them together. This is the most effective way to cooperate with the other people in society and to make them believe in power of alteration.Choose your part in this war which is in favor of advancement. You may fail or win;but without trying you can not know what is gonna be in future.Never be a domino collapsing.

Is drinking extra water good for your skin?

The idea that you’ll have a better(adjective) complexion if you stay hydrated is(linking verb)  so commonplace it’s surprising to discover the lack of evidence to back this up.
If you(personal pronoun) yearn for smooth skin that glows with youth, the chances are that at some point you will have heard the exhortation(direct object)  to drink lots of water in order to flush out those evil(adjective) toxins and keep your skin healthy.
The exact amount(subject)  people suggest varies. US-based advice tends to recommend eight(adjective) glasses a day, while in hotter climates people are advised to drink more to compensate for higher rates of sweating. But regardless of the exact volume of water suggested(participle phrase), the principle behind the advice remains the same – taking extra water on board will keep your skin(singular noun) hydrated. In other words, water(subject) acts like a moisturiser, but from the inside(place adverb)  out.
This is such a common idea you might be surprised at the lack of evidence to back this up. You might expect there to be countless studies where people are(linking verb)  separated into two groups, one assigned to sip water all day(time adverb), the other to drink a normal amount. Then the smoothness of the skin could be assessed a month or so later(time adverb) to establish(transitive verb) whether sipping more led to smoother skin.
In fact such studies are rare, partly because water can’t be patented, so it is hard to find(transitive verb)  anyone to fund such research when there will be no new medication or cosmetic to sell that could repay the costs(plural noun).  A review by the dermatologist Ronni Wolf at the Kaplan Medical Centre(proper noun) in Israel found just one study looking(gerund phrase)  at the effect of long-term water intake(singular noun) on the skin. But the results were contradictory. After four weeks, the group(subject)  who drank extra mineral water(direct object) showed a decrease in skin density, which some believe suggests the skin is(linking verb)  retaining more moisture, while those who drank tap water showed an increase in skin density.(dependent clause). But regardless of the type of water they drank, it made no difference to their wrinkles or to the smoothness of their skin.
That’s not to say that dehydration has no effect on skin. We can measure some effect through the assessment of skin turgor.(independent clause). This is a measure of how fast it(personal pronoun)  takes the skin to return(intransitive verb)  to normal if you pinch some skin and lift it up(action verb). If you are dehydrated your skin will take longer(time adverb)  to get its shape back.
But it doesn’t follow that because drinking too little water is bad for the skin, drinking above average quantities is good. It(personal pronoun)  would be like saying that because a lack of food(common noun)  leads to malnutrition, overeating must be good for us. Or as Wolf puts it, it’s like saying a car needs petrol, therefore the more petrol the better.
Mystery advice
Another common belief is that if you drink extra water the body(singular noun) will somehow store it. But it depends on how fast(manner adverb)  you drink it. Drink several glasses within a fifteen-minute period and you will just pass extra urine. If you spend more than two hours sipping the same amount, more liquid is retained.
There is one study suggesting(transitive verb)  that drinking 500ml of water increases the blood(indirect object)  flow(action verb)  through the capillaries in the skin. But the skin was only evaluated thirty minutes after drinking the water, and what we don’t know is whether this in turn improves(action verb)  skin tone.
One counterargument is that skin contains up to 30% water, and this helps it(indirect object)  to look plump. This may be true, but the skin’s youthful appearance is affected more by factors such as genetics, exposure to the sun and damage from smoking.
So the mystery is where the eight-glasses-a-day recommendation for good skin comes from. Few(indefinite pronoun)  of the official guidelines even refer to the skin. Water is undoubtedly(manner adverb)  the most important nutrient for the body. Without it we die in a matter of days, and there are of course other health benefits from staying(state verb) hydrated. A review in 2010 found good evidence(direct object) that it reduces the recurrence of kidney stones in those who have already had them, but evidence for other specific benefits is weaker.
Arguments rage over the eight glasses(plural noun) a day rule, with disputes over how much is needed to clear the kidneys of toxins and whether or not water(common noun) helps curb the appetite. It depends on how high the ambient temperature is and how much you are exerting yourself. It’s also a myth that other liquids(plural noun) don’t count. It does not have to be water. Even food contains more liquid than you might expect.  Pizza is 40-49% water, for instance. The percentage of water we derive from food in the diet depends on where you live. In the US it’s 22%. In Greece(proper noun), where people eat more fruit(common noun) and vegetables it is much higher. So the problem is a general lack of evidence that drinking more water makes any difference to your skin. We can’t say it definitely(manner adverb)  does not work(intransitive verb) , but there’s no evidence that it does. Which leaves the question of how much water you should drink. Since it depends on the weather and what you are doing, then there is a very good internal guideline we all(indefinite pronoun)  have that can help(intransitive verb). And that’s thirst.

IN METU WE TRUST

I watched this video before knowing I was admitted to METU.I found it so chamig that my ideas about here changed highly just at that time. The speeches made, notable people narrating what kind of a person is ‘’ODTÜLÜ’’ attracted me a lot.Upon an entry which is due,I have decided to share my opinions with you.As you can understand from the title, slogan that I have designed is ''in METU we trust''.I must admit that it is not original one or not produced by me;but according to me it lives up to METU itself. Generally speaking, this slogan may reminds you of what is written on dollar, the currency of USA.Some of you can also know it from another slogan for ''inci sözlük''.Let me tell you why I chose such thing.Actually not because of anything special, but just because it has been on my mind since first seeing;so I couldn't help myself using it for a new concept. We all know that METU will contribute a lot to us in terms of education, culture, social life and so on.That is to say,all we must do is just believe in METU to make us the best and also I would like state that since being established,METU have no student having difficulty in building a splendid future, with some exceptions of course...That’s all about this  entry. In fact I wonder if you like this slogan or not.I’m looking forward to seeing  your comments. Thanks for your attention.

METU THE LEGEND

''Why not Bosphorus,God!'', I said when came across the result.I was dissatisfied with what I saw, though being aware of the fact that I couldn't have registered to Bosphorus with such rank. METU is not the university which I am eager to attend;but in life there may be some occasions that we can not change but just comply with.By this way,I have settled a conclusion that makes it easier for me to get accustomed to METU. I have told myself that ''stop complaining about things you can not get rid of,just try to be satisfied with where you are.'' and now I'm definitely aware of what this charming environment will contribute to me. Here,we are supplied with so many activities, student clubs, natural ambiance, facilities like cheap meal at cafeteria and so on.Also academically,we will be so developed that after graduating large companies will ask us to work with them, which means there will be no despair,no indecision. In short, after a period of difficulty I have got used to the atmosphere and I can regard myself as a real piece of METU. Now it is time to mention about pros and cons of here.At this very moment I feel obliged to state that the students,at least the majority of them, are so helpful that while I was busy with registration, some helped me even a day long. I got informed about transportation, locations of some departments etc thanks to them.Besides,I got no negative response from anybody when in need. Day by day things I regarded terrible before have turned out to be pleasure. When it comes to disadvantages,I can sincerely tell you that they exactly don't exceed the advantages; but, If I am to give an example
I can mention about the dormitory that I'm staying at.Here's is the only
dormitory that has not been restored yet. What an unlucky person I am!
Another one is the distance between my dormitory and my department.
With the help of rings, this challenge can be solved easily, anyway. These are
what left on my mind about METU. See you at next blog, may the happiness
be with you:)
